I have completed Chapter 3.

Time of writing – 27 hours

Chapter 3 covers the 7th Tennessee from the months of May 1862 to the first half of August 1862. The 7th Tennessee fought in their first major battles: Seven Pines (May 31), Mechanicsville and Gaines Mill (June 26-27), and Cedar Run (August 9).

A total of 185 Tennesseans were casualties in these three battles, out of a strength of around 600.

I focused on the words written by the Tennesseans themselves, using 113 footnoted quotes.
