The 30th North Carolina Infantry in the Civil War has gone to the publisher.

The writing for The 30th North Carolina Infantry in the Civil War is complete. The manuscript now goes to McFarland Publishing and work will begin on turning 475 pages of writing into a bound volume.

Based on how long it took McFarland to publish my last two works; The 7th Tennessee Infantry, and The 11th North Carolina Infantry, I predict the 30th NC should be ready for release sometime around May/June 2017.

    My ancestor, Thomas Benton Tisdale, joined in 1861 in Nash county as a private, was promoted to Sargent, and eventually to First Lietenant (possibly a battlefield commission)…I’m very interested to find any details of engagements he was in during the war…

    Hey….We were wondering if the 30th NC book has been released? I sent you info on my 3x gr.grandfather William Garland Ragland. We are hoping to get two books with your signing them for us….We hadn’t heard from you so we thought we would check on the status….Thank you for your time, effort, research, and dedication for telling their stories….Vonda
