Pickett’s Charge as seen through the eyes of young Confederate soldiers.

Lieutenant Mitchell Shreve leads a platoon of Tennesseans as they escort a family across Pennsylvania to Gettysburg. Shreve, the son of a slave-owner, meets Tess Webster, a staunch young abolitionist. The two must reconcile their differences as they travel toward that fateful town. Then, once the Webster family has been safely delivered to their Gettysburg home, Lieutenant Shreve joins his unit and becomes part of the momentous Confederate assault forever known as Pickett’s Charge.
